Feb 23, 2011 · The company standard is SS 316 (L) for all instrumentation. This particular vendor only manfuctures floats in SS 321 so has offered SS 321 instead of SS 316L. According to the vendor, SS 321 is stronger and more resistant to corrosion than SS 316L.
